A student asks a teacher: “What is love?”
The teacher said, “In order to answer your question, go to the paddyfield and choose the biggest paddy and come back. But the rule is: youcan go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.”
The student went to the field, go through first row, he saw one bigpaddy, But he wonders…. maybe there is a bigger one later. Then hesaw another bigger one… but may be there is an even bigger onewaiting for him. Later, when he finished more than half of the paddyfield, he start to realize that the paddy is not as big as theprevious one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and heregretted. So, he went back to the teacher with empty hands.
The teacher told him, “This is love… you keep looking for a betterone, but later you realize, you have already missed the person.”
The student asked, “What is marriage then?”
The teacher said, “In order to answer your question, go to the cornfield and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: youcan go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.” The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not torepeat the previous mistake, when he reached the middle of the field, hepicked one medium corn that he felt satisfied, and came back tothe teacher.
The teacher told him, “This time you bring back a corn…. you lookfor one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is thebest one you get…. this is marriage.”
